10,000 Interns

The 10,000 Interns Foundation envisions a future where Black professionals thrive across every sector and at every level — not by exception, but by design. A future where representation is no longer a point of discussion because inclusion is lived, equity is embedded, and opportunity is truly everywhere.

This is the workplace they are building: one programme, one partnership and one internship at a time.

The Foundation creates thousands of paid internships for talented Black career starters each year, supports its growing alumni community, and uses its unique data insights to help UK employers build more inclusive, representative and high‑performing teams. Their mission is simple but transformative — to ensure every young Black professional has the opportunity to thrive.

Lighthouse Charity

The Lighthouse Charity provides 24/7 holistic support to the construction community across the UK and Ireland, covering every aspect of emotional, physical and financial wellbeing.

A key part of their mission is to offer a wide range of free, accessible and proactive resources to support construction workers and their families when they need it most.

They provide a free and confidential 24/7 helpline, live web chat and text services, giving immediate access to information, guidance and support across a broad range of wellbeing issues. These services are complemented by their self‑support app and a network of Lighthouse Beacons, who create safe spaces where individuals can speak openly and seek help.

Their Wellbeing Academy delivers free training in soft skills, leadership and personal development, offered across multiple formats to suit different learning styles. Through these combined services, the Lighthouse Charity works to ensure no construction worker or family member feels alone in crisis.
